Pamela is an Adjunct Faculty Member of Bellevue Community College Continuing Education. She will be teaching a class entitled:
Go for the Gold: Practices That Support High Performance Teams
Wednesday evenings, 6:00 -9:00PM Oct. 21, 28, Nov. 4 at the North Campus of BCC.

Who Should Take This Course?
This course is designed for people managing people. The focus is to help supervisors and managers effectively hire, manage and develop their workgroups.

Course Objectives
Through lecture, small group interactions, personal reflections and individual activities participants will be able to:

Understand how to create a high performance culture: What the worlds greatest managers are doing differently.
Develop and practice the H.I.R.E. Attitude interview process.
Participate in the B.E.S.T. style assessment. Understand your style and the styles of others.
Recognize the strengths and opportunities of each style and how they affect team dynamics.
Identify and describe poor performances and the S.M.A.R.T. way to manage them.
Prepare and deliver a performance plan to turn around an ineffective employee

Pamela spoke at the Skagit-Island Human Resource Management Association breakfast on February 12, 2009.

The audience of 30+ Human Resource Professionals from Skagit and Island Counties enjoyed the interactive workshop, H.I.R.E. Attitude: New tools for new times.

The participants were given the interviewing tools that enabled them to:

Highlight Success Behaviors
Identify the must-have behaviors, teachable skills and values necessary for success.
Recruit in "unusual" places based on their success profile.
Engage in a unique interview conversation.

Pamela has been a speaker at the international Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) www.shrm.org conference for the past four years. She has delivered both four-hour Pre-Conference workshops and Concurrent Sessions.
